Canadian Nurses Who Want to Move South

During the past year as the nursing shortage in the US continues to increase, we have heard from a significant number of Canadian nurses who have expressed an interest in moving south.

Many of these RNs are ideal candidates for US health care providers who cannot fill vacant positions.

Canadian citizens who are registered nurses are able to work in the US in TN (Trade NAFTA) status as long as they are licensed and have a VisaScreen Certificate. They do not require a visa and the procedure for obtaining TN status takes only a few weeks.

Tanya Freedman, a nurse recruiter who we have partnered with for years, has provided us with the following biographies of Canadian nurses who are looking for jobs in the US:

Nicole K

  • Certified in Critical Care Nursing, and Operating Room Nursing
  • General, Vascular, Thoracic, Orthopedic, Spine, Urology, Gynecology, Plastic, ENT, and Dental surgery
  • Canadian Citizen, has NCLEX and a VisaScreen Certificate
