Trump on Immigration 2025

President Trump

This page examines the immigration policies of the Trump Administration and what immigrants can do to protect themselves from anti-immigration policies promulgated by the White House. We will continue to report on his policies, both on deportations and in limiting legal immigration to the U.S.

On January 20, 2025, he issued over a dozen Executive Orders regarding immigration. 3 more were issued on April 28, 2025.

We participated in a webinar on the President’s Immigration Policies (which you can watch online) in which we discussed the following subjects:

  • Denaturalization
  • Mass Deportations
  • Building a Wall
  • Muslim Travel Ban
  • Asylum, TPS & DACA
  • Temporary Work Visas
  • Green Cards
  • Birthright Citizenship

Know Their Job Well And Perform It Flawlessly

“Don’t do the mistake we did and try to save few bucks going with nonprofessionals and sole practitioners! It will end up not only costing you much more in the long run, but also putting your status in jeopardy which can have a priceless impact. It is one of the most important steps in your life.”

IMMIGRATION NEWS (2025)

First Term (2017-2021)

In 2016, he promised to build a wall on our southern border and have Mexico pay for it. He called Mexicans criminals and rapists. He also implemented a travel ban on people from many Muslim-majority countries.

During his first week in office in 2017, he issued 3 executive orders: (1) to build a wall; (2) to end federal funding of sanctuary cities; and (3) to halt the resettlement of refugees in the US and to suspend immigration from 7 countries in the Middle East.

The travel ban was a series of executive actions that restricted entry into the United States by certain foreign nationals, beginning with Executive Order 13769, issued on January 27, 2017.

It was labeled as a “Muslim ban” and became widely known as such since the ban mostly impacted countries with predominantly Muslim populations. In addition to the restrictions on entry by foreign nationals, North Korea was the only country targeted with a reverse travel ban, prohibiting American citizens from traveling to North Korea.

On January 20, 2021, newly inaugurated president Joe Biden issued a proclamation revoking the travel bans, with the exception of the reverse travel ban prohibiting American citizens from traveling to North Korea.
