An increasing number of people are trying to do just that, by playing a new quiz game created by prominent Los Angeles immigration attorney Carl Shusterman. The game, called "Guess Who's the Immigrant," appears as part of SHUSTERMAN'S IMMIGRATION UPDATE, a monthly feature of Shusterman's immigration web page at
The game is intended to test players' "Immigration IQ," and to highlight the important contributions of immigrants.

Anyone who achieves a score of 12 or more is an "immigration genius." Those who score at least eight points are "immigration literate" while those who score seven points or less are "immigration challenged."
The first person who achieves a perfect score and e-mails the answers to me at carl@shusterman.com wins a free legal consultation. Those who would like to receive the game electronically may do so by subscribing to SHUSTERMAN'S IMMIGRATION UPDATE, a free monthly e-mail newsletter.
There's a misperception that immigrants are a negative influence in America today. This game is a reminder of how closely immigrants are woven into the fabric of American life. Without them, there's no us.
Those who would like to contribute immigration questions to the game may send e-mail messages to me at carl@shusterman.com
