Who We Are
Our law firm has been helping both hospitals and registered nurses across the United
States meet their staffing and immigration
needs since 1979. Mr. Shusterman is a
leading authority concerning the immigration of registered nurses
and healthcare professionals. He has testified before Congress
on this issue, authored legislation as well as dozens of articles in periodicals
ranging from NurseWeek to the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Who We Represent
We represent hospitals in a number of states including California, Arizona
and Nevada.
We are proud to represent
Catholic Healthcare West, the largest (42 hospitals) group of nonprofit hospitals
in the western United States.
We also represent scores of individual hospitals,
a few of which are listed on our RN - Career Opportunities
page.
The United States is experiencing a severe national shortage of nurses. Currently, there are
over 126,000 vacancies for RNs in hospitals across the country.
Unscrupulous Nurse Recruiters
Nurse recruiters and contractors are talking to thousands of RNs in the Philippines,
India, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain and in a number of
other countries. While many recruiters are legitimate, others are not. We have heard
too many stories from nurses who were bilked of their life savings by unscrupulous
persons promising them both a job in the U.S. and a green card.
In the past, by the time the nurse arrived in our office, the recruiters had disappeared
as had the nurse's job, her money and her immigration status.
Free Job Placement and Green Card
Now, thanks to the power of the Internet, there is a better way for foreign-born
RNs to immigrate to the United States together with their families.
Here is what The Law Offices of Carl Shusterman has to offer you:
- Great Pay & Benefits - We represent dozens of hospitals in a number of states.
These hospitals sponsor foreign-born nurses for permanent residence in the United States.
They pay foreign-born RNs at the same wage rates as U.S.-born RNs. You benefits package
is identical to that of U.S. nurses (including health insurance, parking, vacation and sick
leave, etc.)
- Free Job Placement - Why pay a recruiter or contractor thousands of dollars when
we will be happy to help you contact a hospital to sponsor you free of charge?
- Free Green Card - Most of the hospitals that we represent pay our legal fees.
So, not only can you find a job in the United States without having to pay a "middleman",
your legal fees are paid by the your employer. (Caveat: Most hospitals require that you
pay to immigrate you spouse and children, but our fees for immigrating your family members
are minimal.)
